EXECUTIVE COUNCIL AND BOARD MEMBERS

SIR {CHIEF C.E.S. OKOYE       –       Life Patron/Immediate Past President

Sir Okoye is the immediate past President of the Institute.  He became the President in 2003 and served for two tenure till 2012.  He is also the Life patron of the Institute. He is the Group Managing Director, Unicent Shipping Company Nigeria Limited.  He is also a renowned Shipping Practitioner who as served the industry throughout his life time. He served in various capacities as Nigerian Representative in major European ports including Liverpool and Hamburg during the days of NNSL.

JOHN PATRICK EGESI    –       National President

John Egesi is the National President of the Institute.  He has served in the Board as the 1st Vice President during the last administration. He was the former Director General of National Maritime Authority [NMA} now NIMASA and as the only staff who has attained the rank of D.G of the Agency before his retirement.  John Egesi hold a B.Sc. in Shipping {London} as well as Masters Degree in International Trade and Marketing from John Moore University {UK}.

DR. SAMUEL .O. BABATUNDE – 1st National Vice President

Dr. Babatunde is the 1st National Vice President of the Institute. Prior to this, he has held position of National Secretary twice. He has a Masters Degree in Transport Planning as well as Degree in Shipping and Logistics Management. He is a renown Author and a Consultant in maritime.

CHIEF [CAPT] ANTHONY ONOHARIGHO – 2nd National Vice President

Chief {Capt.} Tony is a renowned Master Mariner and has served in various capacity in the maritime industry.  He is presently the Managing Director of Conarina Nigeria Limited a Classification and Survey Society and holds a Master of Business Administration in Maritime Management Technology from Federal University of Technology Owerri as well as First Degree from the same University.  He also has other International renowned qualification in maritime.

MR. FRANCIS OMOTOSHO IDOWU – National Secretary

Francis Omotosho is a maritime expert in Shipping and Logistics Management as well as International freight forwarder. He is presently the Managing Director of At Last Nigeria Limited a freight forwarding and logistics company.  He has featured in several international conferences, trainings and maritime development activities. He is a holder of Masters Degree in Transport Planning as well as First Degree in Shipping and Logistics Management. He is a renowned Consultant in Logistics.

HON. ELUFIOYE-JOHNSON SEGUN –     National Treasurer

Hon. Segun is a shipping operations expert who has vast knowledge in Marine Operations. He has held several managerial positions in several shipping companies and presently he is the Managing Director of El-Johnson Shipping Services.  He is a holder of Masters Degree in Transport Planning as well as First Degree in Shipping and Logistics Management.

MR. MIKE OMILANI [JP] –  National Financial Secretary

Mr. Mike Omilani is a renowned credible Loss adjuster and Marine Surveyor.  He is presently the Managing Director of MICHOMIS Nigeria Limited a Marine Surveying Company.  He has a Degree in Shipping and Ports Administration as well as other internationally certify qualifications.  He has featured in several surveying operations which made him a credible personality in the maritime industry.

BARR. VICTOR IBHARALU    –       Legal Adviser

Barr. Victor Ibharalu is the Legal Adviser of the Institute both on academic and legislative matters.  He is a holder of LLM and presently the Principal Consultant V.E. Ibharalu Chambers.  He has been the Legal Adviser of the Institute right from onset and he is among the pioneers of the passage of the Legislative Bill of the Institute at the National Assembly.

MR. SESAN ONILEIMO  –        National Publicity Secretary

Mr. Sesan Onileimo is the National Publicity Secretary of the Institute.  He is the Managing Director of First Mediacom Network Limited and the Editor of Shipping Position Newspaper. The first and foremost maritime newspaper in Nigeria . as well as Shipping Position Live, a maritime Radio Programme.  He  has been anchoring media publications that has transformed the industry over two decades.  He is a holder of Masters Degree in Transport Planning and a Degree in Journalism.  He has held the position of Publicity Secretary severally because of his vast knowledge of the shipping industry.

CHIEF NELLY AWOTILE         –               Ex-Officio

Chief Nelly Awotile was the former 3rd National Vice President of the Institute and has held several positions in the Board.  He is a renowned Consultant and has served in several positions and capacity within the maritime sub-sector.

He is a holder of Masters Degree in Transport Planning and a Degree in Shipping and Ports Administration, University of Lagos.

SAMPSON .S. CHIMA      –       Registrar

Is a holder of B.Sc. in Communication Technology as well as Shipping and Logistics Management. He also holds an M.Sc. in Transport Studies as well as international qualifications and professional exams both in logistics and supply chain management. He has vast experience both in shipping operations and maritime administrations. He has also worked with several shipping organization and ship brokerage firms and has participated in various international shipping businesses.  He is a renowned Consultant in training and maritime education. He holds several prestigious awards as well as external resource person of various universities both local and international. He has vast knowledge on Nautical Science and Marine Technology.
